About: The T-Sisters
The T-Sisters began life within a cloud, atop a mountain of music under the penumbra of Chernobyl. Amidst these auspicious beginnings, they began to consider their musical careers. "Should it be a radioactive opera?" asked the youngest. "Nay," spake the eldest. "Let us travel to the beginning, and in the beginning, we were the waves. There we shall find our story." Mel the mellifluous, their sister of heart atop the mountain, agreed. "Yar," said the median sister, replete as always with middle sister wisdom. "There we shall go, hither thither will we find the seed of our tale."
Thus was born A Murmured Tale, performed for the first time in a living room among friends. Since that moment, the story and show have been enlivened through various manifestations and shaped by changing casts, musicians and venues; from a performance as an art school senior thesis to production in an alternative arts festival in Baltimore, Maryland, this story has demonstrated its dynamism. The latest production of A Murmured Tale took place in our native land of California in a sold-out 3 show run at Shotwell Studios in San Francisco.
Erika Rachel and Chloe Tietjen are now directing their energies towards their musical group, "The T-Sisters", writing orignal songs and exploring new arrangements of traditional folk songs. Listen to their music here »
